History is important as it gives us a bird’s eye of the experience of past generations to draw from to build our lives and pass it on to future generations. It is this heritage that shaped the world we live in today. So we must learn from history to make right choices and avoid mistakes of the past.

Who is Kshatriya ?
Kshatriya or Kashtriya, meaning warrior, is one of the four varnas (social orders) in Hinduism. It traditionally constituted the military and ruling elite of the Vedic-Hindu social system outlined by the Vedas and the Laws of Manu. The Sanskrit word “Kshatam” means sorrow, and a kshatriya is who saves beings from sorrow. This is the spirit that built our history.
Andhra Kshatriya History ?
Surya and Chandra Dynasties were formed from the worshipers who chose Sun and Moon respectively. Kings of the Chola, Ikshwaka, Hoyasala, Kakatiya, Varnata (Karnatics) dynasties, and those belonging to the Kasyapa and Koundinya gothrams, Kings Raghu, Dileepa and Srirama were descendants of the Surya dynasty. The Chalukyas, Kota Vamsas, the Pandavas and Kauravas of the epic Mahabharata belonged to the Chandra dynasty.
Rest of India Kshatriya History ?
There are many Kshatriya communities in India. Kshatriyas belong to Suryavanshi, Chandravanshi, Agnivanshi and Nagavanshi. Just as Kshatriyas who ruled Rajaputana are called Rajputs, Kshatriyas who ruled Andhra Desa are called Rajus. Rajus belong to both Suryavanshi and Chandravanshi.
